Privacy
Last updated 5 November 2026. This covers the beta waitlist on this site, which is all the site collects.
Who is responsible
Rescuely is responsible for the waitlist and for this policy. For anything about your information, email hello@rescuely.ca.
The waitlist is not open yet, so this site collects nothing.
What we keep
When you join the waitlist we keep:
- your email address;
- whether you are looking to adopt, a foster or volunteer, or a shelter or rescue;
- your city, your state or province if you give it, and your country (US or Canada);
- the exact consent wording you agreed to, its version, and when you agreed.
That is all. There are no accounts, no cookies, and no analytics or tracking on this site.
If you press Light, your browser remembers it on this device. It never comes to us.
Why
To email you about the Rescuely beta: when it opens where you live, or, for shelters and rescues, about joining before it opens. Your role and city decide which emails are relevant to you, and show us where to bring Rescuely next and which shelters and rescues to talk to. We keep the consent wording so we can show what you agreed to. We don't sell or share the list, and we don't use it for anything else.
Where it is kept
- Supabase holds the waitlist in its database.
- Vercel, in the United States, runs this site and the form that saves your signup. Like any web host, it keeps short-lived request logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
- Google holds any email you send to hello@rescuely.ca.
These services may store information outside Canada, where local laws may let authorities access it.
How long
We keep your record for 24 months, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Before we send you any news, we'll send one email asking you to confirm you still want it. If you don't confirm within 30 days of that email, we delete your record.
Database backups can keep a deleted record for a few days after that, until the backups roll over.
Seeing or deleting your record
Email hello@rescuely.ca from the address you signed up with and ask us to show, correct or delete your record. We answer within 30 days. Every email we send will also have a way to unsubscribe.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Do Not Track
We don't track you, so there is nothing for Do Not Track to switch off.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes. If a change affects how we use the waitlist, we'll email the list before it takes effect.
